Retreat Programme

Four pillars of practice in three days — movement, breath, stillness, and sacred sound.

Yoga is at the heart of the retreat — practiced in an integrated, accessible way that respects traditional lineages and your individual body.

  • Yoga Asana Class: Guided sessions covering foundational postures, alignment cues, and breath coordination — suitable for all levels with modifications offered throughout.
  • Self-Practice: Quiet personal time on the mat to integrate what you have learned and begin developing your own inner compass.
  • Yoga Philosophy: A brief introductory session on the purpose and context of yoga — what lies beyond the physical postures.

Sessions take place in our dedicated yoga shala with natural light and fresh air, metres from the Ganga.

Breath and stillness are practiced together — Pranayama prepares the body and mind for the quieter space of meditation.

  • Pranayama: Guided morning breathwork — Anuloma Viloma, Kapalabhati, and natural breath awareness to calm the nervous system and settle the mind.
  • Guided Meditation: Structured sessions in awareness and concentration — accessible to complete beginners, no prior experience needed.
  • Yoga Nidra: Conscious deep relaxation — practiced lying down, guided into a deeply restorative state between waking and sleep.

Sound Meditation is also part of the programme — a combination of silence and resonant sound that quickly settles the mind.

Mantra chanting aligns awareness with the inner self and settles the mind into a meditative state. In the serene environment of Rishikesh, the resonance is felt deeply.

  • Core Mantras: Om, Ganesh Mantra, and the Maha-Mantra — learned with correct pronunciation and meaning.
  • Kirtan: Call-and-response devotional chanting with harmonium accompaniment. No musical experience needed — only an open heart.

Vedic tradition teaches that mantra directly addresses the subtle body — even three days of regular chanting leaves a tangible impression.

Two experiences connect you to the living spiritual landscape of Rishikesh beyond the yoga shala.

  • Sound Healing Session: Tibetan singing bowls and resonant instruments gently shift the nervous system into deep rest and rebalancing. Practiced lying down; no experience needed.
  • Ganga Aarti: Every retreat begins with the evening fire ceremony at Parmarth Niketan — one of the most moving spiritual experiences in India.
  • Guided Excursion (Day 2, based on season & availability): Waterfall visit, Sunrise Kunjapuri Trek, Vashistha Cave, or River Rafting — 1 excursion included in the retreat fee.

Evening Ganga Ghat walks are a regular informal part of the programme — simply walking beside the river after dinner.

What Our Retreat Guests Say

Three days leaves a lasting impression. Here is what past guests brought home.

“I only had three days but was not sure if it would be worth the trip. It absolutely was. From the moment we walked to Ganga Aarti on the first evening, I felt something shift. The sound healing session on Day 1 was something I had never experienced — I fell into a sleep so deep it felt like hours but was only forty minutes. The food was extraordinary. Three days genuinely felt like a week of rest.”

Sophie Blanc 🇫🇷 France · 3-Day Retreat

“I came from Delhi for a long weekend on a colleague's recommendation. I practice yoga occasionally but had never done a retreat. The structure surprised me — gentle enough to feel accessible but purposeful enough to feel like genuine practice. Waking up at 4 AM on Day 3 for the waterfall was not something I expected to enjoy. I did. Already planning to come back for the 5-day retreat next quarter.”

Arjun Mehta 🇮🇳 India · 3-Day Retreat

“I was traveling India solo and added the 3-day retreat on a whim. The team made me feel completely safe and at home from the first message. The meditation sessions were gentle and genuine — no performance, no pressure. The Ganga Aarti on the evening of arrival is something I will carry with me for a long time. If you are passing through Rishikesh, do this instead of the usual tourist trail.”

Yes — many guests are surprised by how much shifts in three days when the environment, food, schedule, and teaching are all aligned. Removing digital distractions, sleeping well, eating simply, and practicing daily in a space this close to the Ganga creates conditions for rest and clarity that are difficult to access in ordinary life. Most guests leave feeling noticeably lighter and more grounded.
