Learn the Ancient Science of Sacred Sound

Sound healing is an ancient therapeutic practice that uses vibrational frequencies to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. At Maa Ganga Yogashala in Rishikesh, our 5-day certification course takes you from theory to hands-on practice — guided by Yogi Vinay Khurana Ji, the school's founder and lead teacher.

You will not just experience sound healing — you will learn it. This course combines traditional Indian theory, instrument practice, chakra sound therapy, and real healing sessions, concluding with a Maa Ganga Yogashala Certificate that qualifies you to practice and teach sound healing professionally.

Understand the relationship between specific frequencies and the seven energy centres — and learn to guide chakra healing sessions.

Theory & Philosophy

In-depth study of vibrational science, nada yoga, and the documented effects of sound on the body, mind, and energy field.

Professional Certificate

Maa Ganga Yogashala certificate on completion — recognised qualification to practice and teach sound healing professionally.

Spiritual Seekers

Drawn to the sacred sounds of Rishikesh and the vibrational wisdom of ancient India — this course connects practice with deep spiritual understanding.

Course Curriculum

A structured, hands-on 5-day journey covering the full spectrum of sound healing theory and practice.

Immersive group sessions where you experience healing sound vibrations from multiple instruments. Learn how to design, open, conduct, and close a sound bath for groups — from setting the healing space to guiding participants through the experience.

Hands-on training in selecting, striking, and rimming singing bowls of different sizes and frequencies. Learn therapeutic applications for one-on-one sessions — bowl placement on the body, chakra-specific bowls, and reading the quality of vibration.

Targeted training on matching specific instruments and frequencies to each of the seven chakras. Covers assessment techniques, clearing blockages through sound, and building a structured chakra healing session — both theory and practical application.

In-depth study of the science behind sound healing — vibrational frequencies, cymatics, Nada Yoga, and brainwave entrainment. Understand why and how sound affects the body, mind, and energy field, and learn to explain it clearly to your own future students.

Sacred Sanskrit mantras and their vibrational effects on consciousness. Learn bija mantras for each chakra, traditional healing mantras, and the practice of Kirtan as a group healing tool. Evening Ganga Aarti visits provide a living example of sound in spiritual practice.

On Days 4 and 5, students lead practice sessions under teacher supervision. You will conduct a short sound bath or one-on-one session and receive detailed feedback. Successful completion leads to your Maa Ganga Yogashala certificate.

Sacred Instruments You Will Learn

Traditional healing tools from ancient wisdom traditions — practised daily throughout the course.

Tibetan Singing Bowls

Ancient metal bowls producing harmonic overtones that calm the nervous system, restore inner balance, and clear energetic blockages.

Gong

Deep, resonant vibrations that penetrate the body and release stored tension, trauma, and energetic density — powerful for group healing.

Tinsha Bells

Small Himalayan cymbals with a pure, penetrating tone used to open and close healing sessions and mark transitions within practice.

Mantra Chanting

Sacred Sanskrit sounds and bija mantras that elevate consciousness, balance specific chakras, and promote profound healing when used with intention.
